This site serves as the hub for news, resources, and information about ePortfolios, Digication (Tunxis’ ePortfolio platform), and portfolio assessment.
The E-portfolio Project
In the fall 2009 semester, Tunxis implemented the use of ePortfolio across the curriculum. This process is known as The E-portfolio Project. This project has a two-year implementation plan. More information on the plan and the faculty, courses and programs involved can be found at tunxis.digication.com/ePortfolioProject.
Tunxis has selected Digication as its ePortfolio platform. Digication is easy to learn and work with. It allows you to create multiple portfolios and lets you be as creative as you want in designing your portfolios. You decide what is public in your portfolio, and what remains private. In other words, you’re in control of the information in your portfolio.
As a first step in this project, every student enrolled in at least one class will have an ePortfolio account created for them. Your instructor(s) will let you know if you’re going to use ePortfolio in your course. If you are, great! They’ll tell you what to do. If not, don’t worry! You can still go in and create a portfolio on your own. You can use the reference documents on this page to help you get started. Need additional help? Stop by the ePortfolio Lab. An ePortfolio Mentor will be happy to assist you.
The E-portfolio Lab
Our state-of-the-art ePortfolio lab was opened in January 2009. Located in the 200 building the ePortfolio lab is used both for in-class demonstration and use of digital portfolios as well as open lab hours for students. Student technology mentors are available to assist you during open lab hours.
